How many of you work a 9-5 job?
Matthew 5:14-16 “You are the light for the whole world. A city built on top of a hill cannot be hidden, and no one lights a lamp and puts it under a clay pot. Instead it is placed on a lampstand, where it can give light to everyone in the house. Make your light shine, so others will see the good you do and will praise your Father in heaven.”
In Matthew chapter 5, verses 14-16, it tells us that we are the light of the world. We are being looked at, judged, analyzed, and studied. It is our actions that will give the Lord a good name or a bad name. We all know right from wrong. We know what is acceptable and what is not. But I think the biggest thing that many of us often forget if that we are not are not the only ones being judged based on our actions, but God is as well. Your bad attitude towards people, will prove to those that don’t know God that He also has a bad attitude towards them. The lack of forgiveness that you have, will lead people to think that God is an unforgiving God; which we all know He is not, but our actions will prove otherwise. The way we speak, will make others think that God does not change and transform when He does.
As little and insignificant as our bad actions may seem, they have a huge impact on how people perceive God; that is why we have to protect our testimony. The less negative things people have to say about us, the more God’s greatness, mercy and love can reach out to the people who need to know Him.
Stay Blessed,
